Hull KR 42 - 0 Salford Red Devils

During a weekend when Rugby League is prominently showcased in Las Vegas to attract interest and funding for the sport, last night's match at Craven Park presented a stark contrast. One team delivered a professional performance, propelling them to the top of the Super League, while the other team faltered, conceding a free opportunity to their opponents.

There is little more to add; let us revisit the tries from the match:

One distinguishing feature of Super League Raw is our unwavering passion for the game, transcending the outcomes and rivalries. Among our most celebrated offerings is "In the Sheds," where the illustrious David Cain of Super League Raw provides a unique glimpse into the heart of the games.

The Coaches Assessment

Paul Rowley

We are certainly in the trenches so to speak. It was an awful performance and there was a big victim mentality from us as a team. The foundation for any game has to start with your defence and I thought we were very fragile in defence, and I’m putting that mildly. We have got a lot of fixing up to do, you’ve got to start by defending tough and bending your back. I thought we were pathetic in that today

The Final Word

Hull KR demonstrated remarkable adaptability and resilience in the face of injuries to Niall Evalds and Rhyse Martin, successfully maintaining their focus to secure a valuable two points. Danny Richardson's kicking game was once again exemplary, reminiscent of his performance in the Huddersfield versus Warrington Wolves match in Round 1. Willie Peters, encouraged by the news of Mikey Lewis's return in March, will undoubtedly be pleased with his team's commitment, application, and overall performance.

The Salford Red Devils find themselves in tumultuous circumstances, akin to a ship adrift without a rudder. If they were aboard the Titanic, it is unlikely fhat this band would have continued playing amidst such chaos. Paul Rowley did not mince words at full-time, a sentiment that resonates, given his strong rapport with the players.

Amidst rumors of delayed player wages, such issues cannot be used as an excuse for the subpar performance exhibited by the Red Devils last night. Super League Raw would expect their wages to be paid, as they have been throughout the winter, albeit with some delays.

We hope that the players can rally and deliver a strong performance next week against the Castleford Tigers. If not, tensions may escalate among the fanbase, and one cannot blame them considering the challenges they have faced.
