Halifax Panthers 0 - 14 Catalan Dragons

The Dragons faced a formidable trial at the Shay, as the Panthers delivered a stirring performance reminiscent of Galdolf the Brave, echoing the legendary phrase "You shall not pass" throughout the first 62 minutes. Nick Cotric showcased his prowess, earning accolades on 'Super League Raw Weekly' as a player to watch in 2025, delivering a man of the match performance on his debut. Meanwhile, the forward debutant Tevita Pangai Jnr proved to be a formidable presence. Ultimately, Steve McNamara returns home in Round 4 with bruised egos and a hamstring injury haunting Sam Tomkins. For the Panthers, their spirits remain high, demonstrating that the magic of the cup is still alive, and may this spectacle inspire more fans to grace the turnstiles this season, as this match truly deserved an audience far beyond the mere 806 in attendance.
